Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026
By using Spokane Wildfire Recovery and Community Care (the "Service"), operated by HIKE with Her LLC, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
The Service is a free, community-oriented information resource for people affected by wildfire in the Spokane / Inland Northwest area. It offers educational content and a directory of support offered by organizations. It is peer-support oriented and informational only.
2. Not professional advice
The Service does not provide medical, mental-health, clinical, legal, financial, or insurance advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship. See our Disclaimer for details. In an emergency, call 911; for crisis support, use the help options on every screen.
3. Directory listings are not endorsements
- Listings come from third-party organizations. We apply a baseline verification and, for some, an added "HIKE Vetted" review, but we do not guarantee any organization's services, availability, quality, or eligibility terms.
- Your dealings with any listed organization are solely between you and that organization. We are not responsible or liable for their acts, omissions, services, or any loss or harm arising from them, always verify details directly with the organization.
- Every listing carries a review date and may change or be removed.
4. Submitting an offer (organizations)
- You represent that you are authorized to act for the organization and that the information you provide is accurate and current.
- Offers are for organizations with a public identity, not individuals, and are subject to verification and approval.
- We may edit, decline, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion, including in response to community reports.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to harass, defraud, misrepresent, scrape, disrupt, or violate any law or another person's rights. You also agree not to submit false or misleading information, impersonate any person or organization, upload anything unlawful or infringing, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems, or interfere with its normal operation. We may suspend or remove access or listings that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual property
The name Spokane Wildfire Recovery and Community Care and the site's content, layout, and design are owned by HIKE with Her LLC or used with permission, and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial reference; please don't copy, republish, or redistribute substantial parts of the site without our permission. Organization names, logos, and details belong to those organizations. The 6R's framework is presented as adapted from established disaster-management literature.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information (including listings) is complete, accurate, or current.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HIKE with Her LLC and its owners, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service or your dealings with any listed organization. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HIKE with Her LLC and its owners, staff, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Service or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
