Accessibility

Our commitment
This resource is built for people who may be older, stressed, or using an old or damaged phone on a poor connection. Accessibility is a core design goal, not an afterthought.
What we do
- Large text and high contrast for readability.
- Simple, consistent navigation and a "skip to content" link.
- Keyboard-operable controls with visible focus outlines.
- Semantic structure and labels for screen readers.
- Respect for "reduce motion" system settings.
- A lightweight, low-bandwidth build with no heavy dependencies.
Conformance target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep working to improve the experience over time.
Known limitations
- The site currently ships a single dark, high-contrast theme; a bright-daylight light mode is a planned future addition.
- The "Share a need" and "Offer help" forms are provided by a third-party forms provider. We don't fully control their accessibility, so if you have trouble, email us and we'll help directly.
- Some resource links open external organization websites, which we don't control and can't guarantee for accessibility.
Tell us about a barrier
