When everything is too much
Stop trying to solve it all. Pick one small thing.
- Ask: what one thing would help most in the next hour?
- Do only that.
- Then stop and breathe. The rest can wait.
Water. Food. A charged phone. One call. Small counts. One step is a full win right now.
Why this happens
When there's too much at once, the thinking, planning part of your brain gets flooded and everything feels impossible. Doing one small, doable thing gives it a win and brings that part back online. You're not lazy and you're not failing. You're working with how a stressed brain actually gets moving again.
