When the tears keep hitting
Grief comes in waves. How to ride one.
You don't have to stop it. Let the wave come, breathe through it, and it will pass.
The waves get further apart with time. For now, ride this one.
Why this happens
Grief isn't steady because your mind lets loss in a piece at a time, more than it could safely hold all at once. A wave is your mind working through part of it, then resting. Crying is a normal part of grief, not a sign that you're falling apart.
